Orbs and foo fighters

Airmen on both sides of World War II reported glowing balls that flew alongside their planes and then vanished – the Americans called them “foo fighters”. Similar red, orange or white orbs are described by witnesses all over the world. Some sightings are sky lanterns, flares, satellites or planets, but not every pilot report could be explained this way.
